Family research is divided into a few categories. There is ancestor research, family tree research, and family research.
Ancestor Research
In ancestor research, we only find the immediate ancestors of a family and present the information in the form of the dates of birth, marriage, and death, as well as the profession of the ancestors.
Family Tree Research
In family tree research, we only trace back one side of the family’s ancestors. We only look for the male ancestors and their siblings and we present the information in the form of a family tree showing the dates of birth, marriage, and death, as well as the profession of the ancestors. In a family tree we list the oldest found ancestors first and add the following ancestors accordingly. In the old days, only the sons were listed in a family tree because the daughters did not continue to use the family name. The decision to include daughters, however, is your choice.
Family Research
Family research is one of our most extensive works. Not only do we search for your ancestors and their siblings, but also the families of the collateral line. It is your choice in how far you want to go in this research. Moreover, the family research will take up to a year’s worth of work.
